STAFF at Roadwater-based Singer Instruments have been giving the clean shaven look a wide berth.
But hanging on to their facial hair - or at least their top lip growth - is all in a good cause.
Four members of the workforce have signed up to the nationwide Movember challenge and adopted horseshoe moustaches for 30 days.
The initiative aims to raise awareness and funds for men's health, specifically prostate and testicular cancers.
Singer Instruments already helps in the battle against cancer in its capacity as one of the world's leading microscopy and robotics manufacturers.
Managing director Harry Singer went one step further when he took part in last year's Movember challenge by pledging an extra £1 in sponsorship for every additional day he maintained his handlebar moustache after the 30-days.
He earned just over £500 by keeping his 'tash' for half a year.
