POPULAR West Somerset children's charity CLOWNS will be hitting the road next week in a brand new van.
The Iveco van will be used for the charity's much-in-demand summer playschemes, something which the charity feared may not happen at all this year.
Organisers had warned they may have to cancel the playschemes when the charity's funding was slashed as a result of West Somerset District Council cut-backs.
But now, after months of hard work and fundraising, enough supporters have come forward to pay for a van to ensure the playschemes can go ahead.

Although schemes in Roadwater and Watchet are already fully booked, places are still available for schemes in Timberscombe, Carhampton, Wheddon Cross, Dulverton, Porlock, Stogumber, Winsford and Exford.
