A TALK about how climate change might affect Exmoor’s trees, and what could be done in preparation for that, will be given in Minehead on Wednesday (March 6).

The speaker is Robin Offer, Exmoor National Park’s conservation adviser, trees and woodlands, and his talk is entitled Climate Change & Trees: The Exmoor Phenology Survey.

It will look at an ongoing survey of the timings of tree bud burst on oak and beech trees across Exmoor.

The talk has been organised by Exmoor Natural History Society but is open to all. Free admission to members, £2.50 non-members. It starts at 7.30pm in The Avenue Methodist Church Hall and there will be tea and coffee in the interval.
