A CLEAN-UP on Minehead beach is being held tomorrow (Saturday).
The annual autumn beach clean is organised by Plastic Free Minehead and Surfers Against Sewage with support from Somerset’s Brilliant Coast Project, West Somerset Together and The Beach Hotel.
As part of Surfers Against Sewage’s national Autumn Beach and River Clean, which will see over 470 beaches and river banks cleaned up around the country, it gets underway at 10am and two hours will be spent clearing he beach and seafront of plastic and other marine litter.
Anyone interested in taking part should meet outside the Beach Hotel on the seafront - buckets, bags and gloves will be provided,but you are asked to take your own gloves if you have them.

‘”Bring your friends, families, dogs and plenty of enthusiasm, and dress for the weather and beach,” said Adam Reed, Surfers Against Sewage’s West Somerset representative and a Plastic Free Minehead committee member.
“If you can only spare ten minutes that’s great too.
“And if you want to start elsewhere on the beach feel free, but please bring the litter to the Beach Hotel for sorting and to let us know you took part.”
