PORLOCK Country Fair with traditional rural attractions and an exhibition of vintage and modern motorbikes, cars and stationary engines will be held next Sunday, August 6.
As an annual event, it provides the vital income to maintain and preserve the recreation ground where the fair takes place.
Country crafts such as thatching, smithy work, traditional turning, spinning and weaving will be represented, and numerous stalls offering local products ranging from preserves and confectionery to jewellery and stationery, artwork and woodwork and toys and clothing.
Musical interludes will be by the Darktown Strutters, and the central arena attraction this year will be birds of prey demonstrations.

Santas here, there, and everywhere for annual festival in PorlockFor children, there will be running races, Punch and Judy, bouncy castle, jungle run and face-painting, and there will also be a dog show and sideshows.
Refreshments include licensed bar, tea or coffee, soft drinks, cakes, burgers, hog roast, ice cream and candy floss.
Admission is £1 for adults, free for under 16s. Free on-site parking.
