SIR — Further to the report in the Free Press last Friday titled '£6,000 to Love Minehead', West Somerset Council would like to clarify that the working title 'Love Minehead' is the preferred banner to encompass a range of groups and organisations to deliver the empty shops/shop local scheme.

The "brand" has been developed by Stephen Grice's internet-based organisation.

Mr Grice has given permission to the wider collective of organisations to use this brand, on the understanding that the work of his organisation is acknowledged. This of course we are happy to do.

West Somerset Council also would like to make it clear that the Love Minehead empty shops/shop local scheme is being delivered by the council working in partnership with a range of organisations including the Chamber of Trade, Minehead Town Council, Love Minehead (Minehead Tourism and Business Association), Revive Minehead, West Somerset Railway et al.

All these organisations are either contributing match funding to the project or volunteer resource.
