MORE than £200 has been raised by a display of Christmas lights at Brackensfield in Alcombe.

The lights were switched on by Father Christmas at a special fun event which featured games and a disco for children plus a fireworks display.

There were also refreshments including mulled wine and carol singing.

“We raised over £200 for the Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance that night, and we will be continuing to raise money for the air ambulance until our Christmas lights come down,” said organiser Beverley Grace.

“We would like to say a big thank you to all that helped on the evening.”
