THE work of the Exmoor National Park Authority will be in the spotlight at a special opening meeting in Porlock.

Staff will be running a drop-in session and a later question and answer slot at the event in the village hall on September 29.

National park chief executive Dr Nigel Stone said: "We are looking forward to the chance to talk about the work we do and respond to questions people have about the national park's work and polices.

"We hope that by offering the chance for anyone to come in for a chat that we will be able to meet as many people as possible."

The national park is currently drafting its partnership plan for Exmoor, following extensive consultation, and the open meeting will provide an opportunity for people to discuss the authority's future priorities.

The drop-in session will run from 4pm to 7pm, followed immediately by questions and answers.

People can also ask questions via the authority's website or email at [email protected]">[email protected].
