WYNDHAM House has become the first care home in Minehead to become a member of the Minehead Dementia Action Alliance.

The home has its own dementia champion and has been supporting the alliance for the last year by offering its premises for the group’s committee meetings, and attending meetings and give valuable input into discussions and future plans.

“We are delighted to present this certificate, which is proof of Wyndham’s genuine commitment to making Minehead a dementia -friendly place that supports people and their carers living with dementia,” said Ann Snelling, the alliance’s dementia champion.

To celebrate, the alliance is holding a dementia-friendly 1950s dance on Tuesday July 25 from 2.30 to 4pm at Wyndham House.

It is open to all and entry is free, while 1950s dress style - or something approaching it – would be welcome. For more information ring Emily Feldberg on 01643 821756 or email [email protected].
