RESIDENTS of Minehead care home Wyndham House helped create their own piece of history when they buried a time capsule in the foundations of a new extension. The capsule contained personal items, including a necklace, as well as a brochure featuring the home in its original style. Wyndham House is currently undergoing major building work to create an extension to provide an additional 16 rooms for older people. Madeleine Flanagan, home manager, said: "We are looking forward to having a larger home and welcoming our new residents next spring. "Our time capsule will preserve memories of Wyndham House and its residents for future generations and we would like to thank our building contractors DR Jones for their help in putting it together and burying it." Wyndham House is part of Somerset Care, which runs 27 homes throughout the county. Pictured from the left are Mrs Flanagan, Annie Wray, Ernest Lewis and DR Jones' contracts manager Chris Neil.
