MINEHEAD Butlin’s team members and their families raised more than £1,000 at their annual children’s charity fun day for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Hosted by Nathan Connor from Channel 5’s Milkshake, there were shows and live performances, games and activities, and money was raised from all the stalls, barbecue and refreshments.
The day also included an inter-department football tournament and a visit from the local police, fire and ambulance teams, and was attended by more than 500 people.
Butlin’s has had Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) as its official brand charity partner since 2015, and has raised more than £650,000 across the three resorts and head office.
John Whybrow, operations manager at Butlin’s Minehead resort, said: “It was a great day and something our team love getting involved in.
“GOSH is such a great charity to work with as pretty much everyone is related to or knows a child who has benefitted from the amazing work the hospital does.”We are very proud to be able to play our part in making a difference to families who need their help.”
