MP Ian Liddell-Grainger joined the celebrations when Porlock and Minehead coffee and tea company Miles reached a milestone.

The Miles family have been producing tea and coffee for over 120 years and the business relocated from the Midlands to Somerset in the 1960s.

Two decades ago, tea production moved from Porlock to a purpose-built factory in Minehead where millions of teabags are produced every month while coffee is produced in Porlock.

Mr Liddell-Grainger was invited to morning coffee and to launch something hot off the roaster – a new range of Miles coffee packaging.

A full tour of the tea production line in Minehead and coffee production in Porlock followed.
