WATCHET threw the record books out of the window last Friday evening when they took on Taunton Deane in the fourth round of the Turnbull Cup.
Good bowling by the whole team brought a 72-shot win - believed to be a record margin for the competition.
County skip Neil Williams had a novice number three in K Bulpin with him but picked up a maximum eight shots on the 18th end as Watchet took all four rinks and won by 125 shots to 53 overall.

L Allen, N Chidgey, R Somerfield and J Trunks won 26-12; J Hall, I Trunks, J Perry and R Wells won 20-14; and A Tayler, B Harris, K Russell and J Hooper won 19-18.
Sunday saw Watchet hold their annual President's v Captain's game, which had been postponed earlier in the season because of a national match.
A keenly contested match saw president Ron Rendell's side beat ladies' captain J Russell and club captain Rod Somerfield's team by ten shots.

l Minehead A were at home to Clevedon in the Premier Division of the Somerset League on Saturday and won overall by 74 shots to 49. They lost narrowly on one rink so missed out on maximum points.
K Portch, T Jones, M Manns and J Male won 24-9; J Bates, G Bryant, W McMichael and J Maskell won 27-15; and R Parsons, H Dalby, J Morgan and M May lost 23-25.
Minehead B were away to Hinkley Point in the county league and suffered a 77-38 defeat, picking up just one point for a draw on one rink.
D Stevens, R Anderson, B Davies and L Salisbury lost 8-39; G Hobbs, H Cane, P Scott and M Keough drew 17-17; and R Ackland, M Lipscombe, K Wilson and R Watts lost 13-21.
Sunday saw 24 teams of four from clubs across the South West take part in Minehead's Invitation Fours.
Fourth were a team from Burnham and third a team from Bridgwater.
Two sides tied for first place with the Tiverton Borough team of Colin Frost, Eric Osbourne, Rose Murphy and Phil Murphy, past winners of the trophy, sportingly handing the cup to the Minehead team of Graham Hobbs, Les Salisbury, Mike Keough and Doug Carter, who had stood in at short notice in place of an absentee team.
The trophies were presented by club president A Langdon and Mrs Jean Murrell, who organised the event.
l Williton ladies played Porlock last Wednesday and won by five shots.
A Williams, A Takel and M Husband beat M Tasker, J Chiswell and S Floyde 20-12; M Brookes, J Sellick and A Wickens beat L Sturmer, M Glanville and P Leader 15-14; and D Court, M Strickett and J Jay lost to J Jones, M Rawnsley and J Biddiscombe 10-14.
Last Thursday Williton's men, leading Division Two of the West Somerset League, best second placed Eastover Park, with the rinks shared two apiece.
A Takel, T Griffiths, T Harrod and J Amery won 28-16; A Burnell, R Mitchell, B Holmes and A Sully lost 17-21; D Lea, J Jay, T Beaver and P Tregidgo lost 16-20; and D Gillott, B Pinder, R Amery and D Sully won 20-19.
Saturday saw Williton's men play Bridgwater A in the Somerset County League, losing 43-56.
S Huggett, D Taylor,B Holmes and R Amery lost 15-18; B Smallwood, D Gillott, J Harrod and T Harrod lost 11-21; and B Rosamond, R Mitchell, B Galloway and P Tregidgo drew 17-17.
Sunday was the club's ladies' day, and a good afternoon was had by all with the green running well and the sun out.
l Last Thursday Porlock lost by just two shots at home to Hinkley Point in the West Somerset League.
The rinks were shared two apiece but Hinkley edged the match overall by 81 shots to 79.
