MINEHEAD conceded a double on Saturday when they lost 3-1 at home to Bristol Manor Farm in the Screwfix League Premier Division.
After taking the lead midway through the first half, Minehead looked set to improve on their home record, but the visitors hit back to take the match, scoring twice in seven minutes and again in injury time.
The match started at a lively pace with both defences containing the early probing runs.
Minehead had the better of the first half, and Shane Porter should have put them in front but from close range hooked the ball over the bar, then from a sharp angle Dave Sowden saw his effort whistle wide of the target.
It was no surprise when Minehead took the lead after 26 minutes, when leading scorer Sean Kenny produced a solo burst which took him round the keeper and when his shot hit the upright Nick Whyborn was on hand to tap in the rebound from close range.
After 36 minutes the visitors went close to an equaliser when Neil Wheelan produced a clever solo run but his cross-shot skipped the wrong side of the far upright.
They went even closer when Lee Nunn's wayward long-range back pass had keeper Adrian Cheek scampering back to cover the error.
The visitors started the second half with more determination and forced three corners in quick succession, but Minehead hit back with Kenny enjoying another solo dash, only to slice his shot wide from 25 yards.
After 61 minutes, the visitors were awarded a free kick, taken by Mike Burnett, whose shot found the upright.
They were not to be denied and from a free kick awarded for an unnecessary foul by Nunn, Burnett's cross was headed into his own net by Matt Heywood.
Six minutes on they went ahead when Campbell Bannerman's corner found Neil Wheelan who headed home.
A frantic few minutes saw three players booked and Minehead bringing on subs Will Giblett and Craig Carr.
Manor Farm gave Minehead some anxious moments as they looked to improve their goal difference, and Ashley Bennett went close with a fierce shot which cleared the bar.
In injury time, Manor Farm claimed their first goal, a goal gifted to them when Nunn's back pass fell woefully short of the keeper, leaving him stranded in no man's land and Bennett the simple task of scoring into an unguarded net.
Minehead: A Cheek, A Giblett, S Porter, M Heywood, L Nunn, D Burr, S Perkins, N Whyborn, S Kenny, B Hall, D Sowden, subs G Bennett, C Carr, W Giblett (all used).
