‘TEN Years of Blooming Success’ is the title of an illustrated talk being given on behalf of Minehead Museum tomorrow.

The speaker, Sandra Slade, was the Minehead in Bloom Committee secretary when its floral displays and environmental projects resulted in success at regional, national and international levels between 1994 and 2004.  

The town won nine South West in Bloom trophies, including being ‘Best in the West’ five times. It was twice judged ‘best floral town in the UK and twice placed second in the International Liveable Communities Competition for towns from around the world with populations under 25,000.  

The talk is at 7.30pm on April 23 at The Beach Hotel, Minehead. Tickets, in aid of Minehead Museum, cost £5 each, £3 for Friends of the Museum, and are available from the museum, open Tuesday to Sunday.
