A FIRST aider from Minehead was in the front line of the St John Ambulance team at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend – the biggest free ticketed music event in Europe.
More than 40 volunteers from across the South West helped keep 27,000 revellers safe, treating a variety of injuries and ailments throughout the event on May 28 and 29.
Among the volunteers was Sam Parsons, from Minehead, who works as a team leader for the charity’s ambulance crews, covering the whole of the South West from its Exeter offices.
