All ages join Watchet Santa fun run to support war memorial recreation ground charityNow in its third year, Bellfest featured a wide variety of local beers and ciders from the likes of Exmoor Ales and Quantock Brewery, as well as entertainment from local musicians.
Admission was free but takings from drink sales raised over £600, which will be split between Alzheimer’s Research UK and local charity Elliot’s Touch.
Watchet toddler Elliot Stevens was just 13 months old when he died in March from mitochondrial disease and cardiomyopathy, and his parents Donna and Paul have set up Elliot’s Touch to raise awareness of the conditions and to raise money for research.
They were on hand during the festival to let people know more about the charity and to support landlord Paul Taplin’s fundraising efforts.
