Four other Minehead banks and a building society – Yorkshire Building Society, Santander, NatWest, Barclays and HSBC – took part and entered cakes to help raise money for the the TSB’s local charity partner.
The Bake Off-inspired challenge involved them creating their own versions of a ‘layered’ cake.
Students from Minehead Middle School visited the TSB branch to assess and grade each individual cake and nominate a winning cake based on flavour, texture, appearance and creativity.

Minehead Hope Centre is passionate about helping the local community to thrive. The funds raised will be used to support members of the Minehead community who are homeless.
Instead of the bank having a centrally chosen charity of the year, partners working at TSB are empowered to support a local cause which helps the local community.
