ANIMALS of all shapes and sizes met residents at Randall House, Minehead, on a special day when every visitor had to bring along a pet.
A "naughty" Shetland pony, a variety of dogs, rabbits and an owl were among the animals that wowed the residents - the oldest of whom is 106.
Annabelle Randall, who organised the extraordinary day, said the residents were over the moon but it proved to be a chaotic event.
"Everyone loved the animals, especially the owl, but it did turn out to be a stressful day.
"The idea was that, because many of the residents can't get out, we would bring the animals to them.
"One resident is 106 and does not leave her room so for her to be able to stroke the owl was wonderful. It was all great fun but everything did become a bit hectic and the Shetland pony was very naughty."
She thanked everyone who brought along a pet and especially Bossington Park Farm for lending the owl.
