Tropiquaria Zoo in Washford has hailed the late Queen’s love of animals in a touching social media post.

The zoo reproduced the well-known drawing of Her Majesty with a certain little bear.

Expressing “deep sadness and grief” at the passing of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Tropiquaria’s statement continued: “She will be remembered fondly as an animal lover and an amazing supporter for the work of zoos and aquaria in conservation.

“She enjoyed many visits to zoos, and brought many animals back from foreign tours that were subsequently passed to London Zoo and Whipsnade in the main”.
