SIR — On one of my many visits to Tesco's with my two-year-old daughter, I found yet again that I couldn't park in the parent and child parking area and I had to park way over the other side.
Much to my disbelief and disappointment, who should be taking up one of these valuable spaces but a police car (of which I got a lovely photo)!
It is bad enough people using these spaces who don't have children. Is it OK that the police do so too? And yes I did check - no child's car seat!
Surely the police should be setting an example, not encouraging others to do this?
To the people of Minehead and the police, spare a thought when you park for the parents of young children who need these spaces - if only so they can access the car seats.
