YOUNG people in West Somerset were given a glimpse of the future at a summer beach party in Minehead on Wednesday.

It was organised by the team behind the multi-million pound Minehead EYE facility to give youngsters a taste of the kind of activities the centre will offer when it is completed.

Among those who joined in the fun was Jordan Lenthall, pictured trying out Avon and Somerset Constabulary's mini skate ramp.
