JULY’S Amble not Ramble on Wednesday involves a stroll through Horner.

Walkers will meet at the National Trust car park at Horner at 10.30am and afterwards will visit Horner Tea Gardens.

Amble not Ramble is a very friendly, gentle walking group for people with memory loss, lack of mobility or just loss of confidence.

The walk will be a maximum of one hour long with opportunities to turn back at any time, and the route will be matched to the needs of the people taking part.

The route is beautiful but a little stony underfoot, although suitable for zimmer frame users. People using wheelchairs might find it a little bumper but still accessible.

Amble not Ramble walks are run by Minehead Dementia Action Alliance, which aims to help people and their carers live well with dementia, but they are open to anyone who wishes to go along.

The group is currently seeking more volunteers for the walks. To find out more about how you can help or for more information or directions to the start of Wednesday’s walk, ring Emily Feldberg on 01643 821756 or email [email protected].
