TWO more churches have joined the Watchet area Dementia Action Alliance, bringing the membership of local religious groups to five.
Watchet Methodist Church and Williton parish church, St Peter’s, made the commitment to working to make their services and social events more welcoming to people living with dementia.
Margaret Tatham, leader of the Watchet alliance (WDAA) presented the certificates.
And she mentioned that it was the second certificate to be presented in Watchet Methodist Church – the building is shared by local Catholics whose church has already joined WDAA.
The certificate presented to St Peter’s was also the second presented to Church of England vicar the Rev Clive Gilbert, the other having been given to St Decuman’s, Watchet.
And Watchet Baptist Church is also an existing member of the WDAA.
