'TIS the season to be jolly
. . . and members of Minehead District Lions have certainly been bringing a smile to the faces of young and old by helping Santa take an early tour of the town.
The annual trip, coupled with a fundraising collection in aid of good causes, kicked off last Thursday on the Mallard Estate and Ellicombe Meadows and continued throughout this last week through the main streets of the town.
The tour is due to end tonight (Friday) in Hillview, Whitworth, Sainsbury Road and Periton Way, although Father Christmas will be making a last minute appearance in Wellington Square tomorrow from 10am.
In Watchet, Father Christmas will be making his annual visit tomorrow, Christmas Eve.
He is due to set off from Cherry Tree Way at 4.30pm and tour the town's streets to finish in West Street.
