CARHAMPTON Gardening Club had good weather for its annual flower and produce show on Saturday (September 2).
Entries for fruit, handicrafts, cookery and preserves were all down from last year, but those for flowers and vegetables were much the same and created a fine display.
The recently added allotment class was again very well supported and the entries – seed trays holding a mix of produce – were greatly admired.
A new trophy had been donated, for the best exhibit from Carhampton’s allotments, and Jacky Fletcher was the inaugural winner.
