SIR — Williton's doctors' practice worked as normal on the day that they were called upon to strike, as did the majority of other practices also called upon to strike, we are informed.

The Williton practice made a good and moral decision, one that should be applauded.

Withdrawing labour is an unconsciable act and a contradiction in terms if one's title is 'physician'.
