SIR — As a cyclist and resident of Blue Anchor, I was dismayed to learn last week that we may not get our long-awaited cycle path.

I do hope a solution can be found to the problem of routing the path through or round the chalet park at Blue Anchor, as a cycle path would be such a wonderful amenity.

My children have just reached the age when they can cycle on their own and, while it does not stop me letting them go out on their own, I would be so much happier if they did not have to go over Eastbury Hill.

On a Saturday afternoon there is so much traffic that going up the hill is really unpleasant, not to mention dangerous.
