The garden at Elworthy Cottage is open for the National Gardens Scheme on Bank Holiday Monday (August 30) from 11am to 4pm.

The hydrangeas and grasses are looking particularly good at the moment and during recent sunny days the buddleia have been full of butterflies.

Refreshments are not available but visitors are welcome to take a picnic. Admission £4, children enter free. Dogs welcome on short leads. Elworthy is on the B3188 half way between Wiveliscombe and Watchet. Further details available on 01984 656427 or see the website.
