WATCHET will welcome its first street fair of the season on the Esplanade on Sunday (March 6).

The event, popular with residents and visitors, will continue on the first Sunday of every month until October.

“We will have all our favourite stalls from last year and more new ones to make it a wonderful experience for everyone,” said the event’s organiser, Molly Quint.

The fair is open from 10am-4pm. First-time visitors include Posh Spud and the Artisan Coffee Horse Box, plus stalls selling local cheeses, fresh meat, vegetables and plants, speciality mushrooms, clothes, jewellery, art and more.

Molly added: “We have two fun stalls for children - ‘Hook the Duck’ and ‘Splat the Rat’ - and Watchet Town Band will play from 2-4pm. We are a voluntary sub-committee of Watchet Coastal Community Team and welcome visitors, not only to the street market, but to the town and coast at any time.”

n The event will include a cash collection to raise funds for victims of the Ukraine crisis. All donations will be acknowledged by a receipt.
