A MAN was trapped in his vehicle after an accident at Raleigh’s Cross shortly before 9am yesterday (Tuesday, February 23).

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called by the police and sent fire appliances from Williton and Minehead as well as a rescue tender from Taunton.

Fire crews winched the vehicle to a safe position to enable them to reach and free the casualty.
