POLICE investigating a serious assault at a property in Alcombe Road, Minehead, last Thursday (August 16) have appealed to the occupants of a silver-coloured car parked near the scene to come forward to help with their inquiries.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after an alleged attack at about 7pm by a group of men.
Police said that a man and woman had been arrested in connection with the incident at a flat near the centre of Alcombe. Both have been released under investigation.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: “We are also interested in reports of a silver car which is believed to have stopped in the street at the time of the incident, to let two men out.
“The vehicle is not thought to have been involved in the assault incident but we are keen to speak to the occupants – a man and a woman – who we believe may have information to help our inquiries.”
Police are asking the car occupants, and anyone else in the area at the time who may have information, to call 101 and quote crime reference number 5218/184197.
