All ages join Watchet Santa fun run to support war memorial recreation ground charityThe search for the “despondent” man in the Stolford beach area of Steart Salt Marshes and the River Parrett was called off at 3am on Monday and resumed at daylight.
Also taking part were the police and Burnham-on-Sea Coastguard, Burnham Lifeboat and rescue hovercrafts as well as a coastguard helicopter with the ability to use thermal imaging and illuminate the area.
On Monday morning, the Watchet coastguard team returned with police officers to continue searching along the river and mudflats.
They found the missing man safe and well shortly after arriving on the scene.
