A PLASTIC cooking tray left on an oven hob started a fire in Quarry Close, Minehead, on Saturday evening (February 24).
Two fire engines from Minehead and an operational assurance officer went to the scene at 5.50pm and set to work putting out the fire in the kitchen with a hose reel jet and wearing breathing apparatus.
Having extinguished the fire, the crews ventilated the property, made safe and left duty of care with the occupants.
