AN HGV went into a wall in High Street, Porlock, yesterday afternoon (Monday) and a local builder provided equipment to help extricate it.

A fire engine went to the scene from Minehead at 3.15pm and the builder supported the crew’s operation with acro-props to support insecure railings.

The railings were removed but were then loose and hanging over the street, so the incident was handed over to Somerset Highways.
