FIRE engines from Minehead and Porlock were sent to Luckwells Lane, Wheddon Cross, to put out a chimney fire yesterday. 

The fire had spread from the ground floor chimney breast to the first floor flooring. There was minor damage.

Crews used a hose reel jet, chimney gear, thermal imaging camera and small tools to extinguish it.
