LOLLYPOPS and Moptops return to the Minehead Regal Friday (February 18) at 7.30pm in a must-see show for all 50s and 60s music fans. The show is a trip down memory lane for those who remember the 50s and 60s first time round and a fantastic night out for those who want to enjoy the experience but missed out at the time.
Funny man Alan Mosca - formerly of Freddie and the Dreamers - retells the stories of yesteryear with song and a touch of comedy, while Buddy Walker brings back to life the look and feel of Buddy Holly.
The two-hour show features award-winning The Temple Brothers who are well known for their tribute to The Everly Brothers and for more than 15 years have toured with their unique harmonies and uncanny re-creation of Don and Phil, performing songs such as All I Have To Do Is Dream, Let It Be Me, Cathy’s Clown and Crying In the Rain.
And the awesome Dreamers - formerly Freddie and the Dreamers - recreate hits including You Were Made for Me, I’m Telling You Now, Over You, If You Gotta Make a Fool of Somebody.
Tickets cost £20 (Friends of the Regal £19.50, students/unemployed £15) and may be booked in advance online and at the Regal box office (01643 706430) between 9.30am and 12.00pm or by telephone only from 1.30pm to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
The Regal bar will be open for refreshments from 7pm. Some Covid restrictions remain in place to ensure that audiences and volunteers are protected. Everyone will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and wear a face mask at all times, except when eating or drinking.
