DUNSTER Horticultural Society celebrated its 150th anniversary with a party and music in the Tithe Barn garden.
Clarinet and saxophone player Bev Trimmings and The Blooming Flutes entertained the many villagers, members – and society president Beryl Priddle and Joan Nicholson unveiled the heritage board mounted in the Tithe Barn.
A stand displaying the various exhibits in the annual flower show demonstrated that it is not just about flowers, fruit and vegetables – arts and crafts, homecraft, preserves, wines, photographs, flower arrangements and children classes are represented too.
A display board showed many interesting cuttings and photos from past flower shows, including the very first one held in 1869. The next flower show is on Saturday, August 4 at 2.15pm in the Dunster Tithe Barn.
