WIVELISCOMBE gained their first Boxing Day victory over Wellington for more then ten years when they beat their rivals 26-10 at home yesterday (Tues).

Wiveliscombe led 20-0 at one stage before Wellington managed put points on the scoreboard with a try by Ash Harney.

But hopes of a Wellington fightback were dashed when Wiveliscombe surged further ahead with two penalties with Wellington ending the scoring with a try.

Neither Wiveliscombe nor Wellington have matche this coming weekend.
