WATCHET Town will be looking to avenge a 2-0 home loss against Peasedown Miners Welfare when they play the return in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League today (Sat).

Watchet have improved considerably since that defeat in mid-September and their spokesman Nick Sully said: "They looked as good as any side which has played at the Memorial Ground this season.

"We've got much better and turned in a decent display against Middlezoy Rovers Reserves (3-1) last weekend, probably our best at home this season. It is going to be a very tough game indeed."

Striker Aaron Deeks and defender Ali Harrison, who missed last Saturday's game, are both back in contention for Watchet who are now only five points behind leaders Staplegrove and also have two games in hand.

Meanwhile Minehead are at home today when they play lowly Combe St Nicholas - also in the first division. They have begun to lose ground on the leading sides and so need all three points against a side third from bottom.
