WATCHET Town went down 1-0 away to a Bishops Lydeard XI in a pre-season friendly.
"We were not quite at full strength and it was a more promising display than in our previous game,’ said Nick Sully, one of the club’s new three-man management team.
Watchet created a number of chances and Lewis Ahmet, last season’s top scorer, hit the woodwork towards the end.
Watchet’s next warm-up game is against Wembdon at Bridgwater College tomorrow evening (Fri).
