WATCHET Town's hopes of avoiding relegation from the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League suffered a blow when they lost 4-1 away yesterday (Sat) to leaders Chilcompton Sports.

It means Avril Cooke, in her first season in charge at Watchet, has only five more matches in which to keep her side out of the bottom two.

Although one place above the relegation zone, Watchet have played two more games than second from bott Clutton, who have the same number of points as Watchet.

Meanwhile, Minehead went down 2-1 at home to Saltford in the first division, despite beating their rivals away only three weeks ago. Guy Burns was on target for Minehead.
