WATCHET Town stepped up the pressure at the top of the first division in the Uhlsport Somerset County League with a 3-1 home win over Middlezoy Rovers Reserves yesterday (Sat).

Adam Jefferies and Billy Jones (2) snapped up the goals for Watchet who were drawing 1-1 at half time.

With leaders Staplegrove being held to a 1-1 home draw by Nailsea and Tickenham Reserves, second-placed Watchet are now only five points behind the Taunton side with two matches in hand.

Minehead's game at Burnham was postponed.
