WATCHET Town and Minehead will be looking for improved performances when they play away matches in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League tomorrow (Sat).

Watchet, who play Nailsea & Tickenham Reserves, remain second in the table despite dropping two points in a 2-2 home draw against Ashcott last weekend.

“We were disappointing in the first half but still created some scoring chances,” said the Watchet club spokesman Nick Sully. “We improved in the second half and could, and should, have won it."

Watchet are hoping that Brandon Walsh and Billy Jones will be available after missing the game against Ashcott.

Minehead, who remain seventh despite their 6-0 hammering at home by leaders Staplegrove, will be looking to bounce back when they play Middlezoy Rovers who are one place below them in the table.

Elsewhere in the division, Staplegrove play at home to Castle Cary who have won only one of their 15 matches this season.

In the Premier Division of the Taunton Saturday League, Porlock have a derby match at home to Minehead Reserves who have been in good form in the league.
