AFTER an indifferent first half showing Watchet recovered to gain a deserved 1-1 away to Middlezoy Rovers Reserves.

A well struck shot on the half hour from Smith gave the 3rd in the table home side the lead at the interval only for Watchet to hit back immediately after the restart when Riley Willis got clear on the left to tee up teammate Eddie Townsend with a squared pass which he controlled before drilling into the bottom corner.

A carbon copy move released Billy Jones, but first team keeper Turner made the block before Adam Bishop went one better with a superb save at the other end. Townsend then looked to be upended inside the area with Eben Harding being sin-binned for disputing the lack of a penalty decision. Josh Aspey's inviting low cross was missed and Charley Clausen saw a late header cleared off the line before the sides had to settle for a point each.
