MINEHEAD Barbarians' 100 per cent home record in Counties Two Somerset this season will be under a big threat today when they play title favourites Taunton IIs (2.30p.m.).
"It's certainly going to be a tough game," said Minehead's head coach Mick Orton.
"We played them at the beginning of the season and lost 36-7. I can't remember an awful lot about the game but I know they are a very good side."
The Babas were playing well in the second half and were beginning to fight back, reducing the arrears to 15 points and looking threatening. But Taunton, who played running rugby throughout the match, scored two late tries to gain a flattering victory.
Minehead have won six of their home matches this season, piling up the points but have struggled away, losing 31-17 against new leaders Chew Valley last Saturday.
And although Valley head Taunton, they have played two more games but they have suffered defeat only once this season.
Minehead suffered injuries at Valley and so may not be at full strength. One of those who had to come off was Jacob Gower.
Minehead Barbarians 2nd XV, hammered 82-5 at home by top of the table Wyvern Wanderers in Counties Four Somerset, are without a game today.
Meanwhile Wiveliscombe, who remain bottom of Counties One Western West despite their home win over fellow strugglers Falmouth last weekend, play away to Paignton who are lying fourth.
