MINEHEAD Tennis Club held an open day last Saturday as part of the Great British Tennis Weekend co-ordinated nationally by the Lawn tennis Association.

Some 25 children took advantage of the free tennis offered in the morning.

Throughout the summer holidays, the club are offering Saturday morning tennis for juniors which will be open to all, free for members and £1 per session for non-members.

The sessions start tomorrow and continue for five weeks, running from 9.30 to 10.15am for first school children and 10.15 to 11am for middle school children. Coaching and all equipment provided.
