MINEHEAD lost their unbeaten record - and their position on top of the Premier Division in the Somerset Cricket League - when they slumped to a 109-run loss away to Winscombe yesterday (Sat).

The new leaders are Long Sutton while Minehead are only two points adrift despite yesterday's defeat.

Winscombe scored 264-8 in their 45 overs with openers Jack Fraser scoring 63 and Tom Hall 60. Braden Taylor was Minehead's most successful bowler with 4-63.

In reply Minehead made a good start, scoring 79 before losing Gregg Howard for 22. Fellow opener and skipper Ian Buchanan scored 49 but received little support as Minehead were bowled out for 155 in 32.5 overs.

Fraser ended a good day with 4-23.
