PAST captain Richard Clist came home with the best score in the Saturday Stableford Competition at Oake Manor Golf Club. Richard won with a score of 40 points to win division 2, while another past Captain Nigel Jackson came second with 39 points and Chris Hume was third, also with 39 points.
Former goalkeeper Ian Nott won division 1 with 39 points, while the next four players all scored 38 points but on count back Gary Tillett, the outstanding winner of the competition the previous week, came second and former county cricketer Ian Blackwell was third.
In the Seniors Stableford Competition on Monday, Nigel Foster was the runaway winner with a score of 37 points, second in division 1 was Mike Shaw with 34 points while David Wheeler was third also with 34 points. Dave Free won division 2 with 33 points with Alan Ashby in second place with 31 points and Kevin Court came third with 30 points.
In the Wednesday Midweek Stableford nine hole competition, the first seven players all scored 18 points but on count back Oliver Nott was first, Richard Beesley came second and Terry Davies was third.
Meanwhile, Suzanne Ward won the recent Ladies Sunday Medal Competition, scoring a nett 71 while Patricia Frazer was in second place with a nett 72 and Nancy Marshall was in third spot, also with a nett 72.
In the Ladies Tuesday Stableford competition, Suzanne Ward was again triumphant, winnng division one with a score of 35 points while Nancy Marshall came second with 34 points and Jane Clist was third with 33 points.
Pepita Verge won division 2 with a score of 36 points, the best of the day, while Julie Cross came second with 32 points and Pat Snelling was in third spot with 32 points.
