The event was played in excellent conditions with quickening greens and at the end of the round the pairing of Steve Gay and Graham Hammond were the decisive winners with 44 points.
Three points behind in second place were Martin Hole and Sandy Lyons with 41 points while Peter Young and Paul Thompson took third place on countback with 39 points.

The Seniors rounded off their busy week on Friday, by playing a Stableford competition off the white tees. The combination of a strengthening breeze coupled with lightning-fast greens proved challenging for most which was reflected in the scoring.
Bob Arthington continued his excellent form of late by winning the competition with 38 points, five points ahead of his nearest rival who was Frazer Lawrence who took second place on countback with 33 points ahead of Tim Evans who ended in third position.
Meanwhile, as part of the programme to promoted the Minehead club, various competitions and events have been organised which will be played throughout the year.
One such event played recently was the Club Day Scramble with each of the 14 teams comprising one member under 55, one over 55 and either a lady or junior member.
The competition was played in a friendly but competitive spirit, with not even a turn of the head as the world famous Flying Scotsman locomotive passed by on the West Somerset Railway.
The competition was close with Ian Cape, Steve Woodbury and Ruth Maclennan winning on countback , from Martyn Westbury, Mark Harris and Deano Carlin.
